The Archaeology Team manages archaeological investigations as required to support the planning process and in accordance with PPG16. Evaluation can involve a range of phased archaeological techniques including: fieldwalking, geophysical survey, test-pitting and trial trenching. By combining techniques, the team can oversee cost-effective strategies for field evaluation that meet the requirements of local authority curators.
